Vidya approaches clients' concerns from three perspectives: internal navigation, environmental factors, and physiological responses. This involves using a narrative approach, somatic principles, and internal family systems. They hold a feminist, anti-oppressive, community-based, and justice-oriented stance in their practice.
1
We map out how clients navigate their emotions internally, exploring what these emotions look and feel like, their likes and dislikes, and create a biography of the internal concerns clients bring in.
We also work with the body to understand the physiological responses to these problems, including changes in posture, heartbeat, breathing, behaviors, and the nervous system. Additionally, we assess the long-term consequences of these experiences on the body.
2
We examine the structures, systems, and environmental factors that influence clients' concerns, such as profession, school, family, gender, caste, and culture.
